Delete account & data

How to delete your Glenby account and all associated data - in the app or by email (Art. 17 DSGVO).

This is a translation for convenience. The German version is legally binding.

Deletion in the app

Here is how to remove your account and all associated data:

  • Open Glenby and go to Profile → Privacy.
  • Select Delete account.
  • Confirm. Your account and its associated content will be removed.

Tip: Under Profile → Privacy → Export data you can save a copy of your data beforehand.

Deletion by email

Can no longer access the app? Email privacy@glenby.de from the address linked to your account, subject Deletion. We confirm the deletion within 30 days.

What gets deleted

  • Your account (display name, and email if applicable).
  • Your encrypted content and places.
  • Local data on the device when you uninstall the app.

What may remain

If a legal report was triggered for a piece of content (see Safety & Transparency), the mandatory retention periods apply until the case is closed; the legal basis for this is Art. 17 Abs. 3 lit. b DSGVO.
