Delete account & data

Here is how to remove your account and all associated data:

• Open Glenby and go to Settings → Your data.
• Select Delete account.
• Confirm. Your account and its associated content will be removed.

Tip: Under Settings → Your data → Export data you can save a copy of your data beforehand.

In addition, under Settings → Your data in the app you can choose to have your account deleted automatically after a period of inactivity (1 week to 2 years, default: 2 years). We remind you by email before the deletion; simply signing in to the app is enough to prevent it.

Can no longer access the app? Email privacy@glenby.de from the address linked to your account, subject Deletion. We confirm the deletion within 30 days.

• Your account (display name, and email if applicable).
• Your encrypted content and places.
• Local data on the device when you uninstall the app.

If a legal report was triggered for a piece of content (see Safety & Transparency), the mandatory retention periods apply until the case is closed; the legal basis for this is Art. 17 Abs. 3 lit. b DSGVO. In addition, legally mandated records remain: invoice and accounting data for purchases (up to 8 years, § 147 AO, stored with our payment provider Stripe, with no link to your deleted account), received cancellation and withdrawal declarations as evidence (Art. 6(1)(c) and (f) GDPR), and anonymised security logs without personal reference.
